Senior govt officers ‘ripped off B5bn’

BANGKOK: A senior government official has been sacked for allegedly falsifying tax refund claim documents causing the state to lose B3.2 billion in tax refunds and another is under investigation on allegations of ripping B2 billion out of teachers savings fund.
