Happy Habitat: Going off-grid in Phuket

The First utility bill of the year came recently (for December, 2014), and it was the lowest Id ever seen since moving to my mangrove-side man-cave 10 months ago. Thanks to a few energy conscious lifestyle decisions, my latest grid-electricity bill amounted to a whopping B78 for just over three-kilowatt hours of inflated, off- the-beaten-path grid energy.
